Trip to Portland!

Korbyn and I took a little trip out to Portland from Dec. 16- Dec. 23. It was a blast! While we were there, the Portland area had just about the worst snow storm ever! But being snowed in the entire time, didn't turn out so bad! We were able to just hang out, play games, and not have to worry about going a million places. It was a really relaxing trip. Besides the plane rides. Something about flying by yourself with a 7 month old, teething baby, that is like fingernails on a chalkboard!
Here we made Korbyn my sweet little present! Isn't he just the cutest. Who wouldn't want that under their tree on Christmas morning!

And even better, are these two adorable presents, Korbyn and cousin, Tierzah!

Korbyn LOVED playing with his cousins! And his adorable cousin, Ariella, just couldn't get enough of him either! They had so much fun together!
Here is Korbyn's other cousin, Asa, he is really good at making Korbyn laugh!

Here is Korbyn and I with Elena and Alex. More cousins that we love, and are SO glad that we got to see!

Here is the snow, when I first got there. We thought this was pretty bad. Which for Oregon it was! My brother-in-law, Ben had to come to the airport to get us in his four-wheel drive with studded snow tires! Crazy that it actually just got worse!
I had to go out and get my few minutes in the snow! Korbyn needed to stay inside where it was warm, because he got a cold while we were there. Bummer!

Here is Grandpa, playing in the snow with the grandkids! They had so much fun!

It was pretty cool, because about the third day I was there, we had about 6 inches of snow, then we had freezing rain. So when you went to step on the snow it just broke up like this. It was so fun to walk over. Crazy!
And after the 6 inches and freezing rain.... came more snow! This is my sister, Alisa, and her husband, Ben. They were snowboarding down the street!

So after that storm was over, this is all the snow we had! Isn't it just a beautiful winter wonderland? Those trees looked so amazing with all that snow on there!
Here is my brother-in-law, Jose and if you look really close at the snow on the van, you can see the snow, then the thick layer of ice, and then the snow on top of that! Pretty cool!

And last, but not least, me posing with my two sisters that live in Oregon. Cassandra on the left. and Alisa by me! I had so much fun hanging out with them, and I thank them for all that they did for Korbyn and I while we were there! You are awesome sisters, and I wouldn't trade you for the world!
So in a nutshell, it was a blast, but flying alone with Korbyn for 41/2 hours, and missing Justin tons does not make me want to go anywhere alone anytime soon!!!

A Little Behind on Thanksgiving...

Now that it is Christmas Eve, I decided that I needed to blog about Thanksgiving. So here goes!

We were SO lucky to be able to fly to Denver for a few short days to visit my sister and her family, and my mom and dad were there too! It was so much fun. And for Thanksgiving Dinner we went to my cousin, Joel's house. It was so delicious!!
This is the bunch eating the yummy food!!

Grandma and Korbyn at the festivities! Grandma was so excited to see and hold Korbyn after almost 4 months of not seeing him!

Here is Cami and Jordan, my sister and nephew making a craft after dinner.
The craft was adorable. Who knew an apple, some toothpicks, raisins, and a green olive would make such cute turkeys! Nice job Jordan!
Then on Friday instead of dealing with the crazy stores, the four of us, Cami {my sister}, Jake {my bro-in-law}, Justin and I decided to go on a double date, while the wonderful grandparents babysat! It was awesome because we haven't had a babysitter since we moved to Texas! Sad, but true!
It was SO fun! We went mini golfing in the dark, so everything was lit up with black lights! The pic above is Justin and Jake posing!

And here is Cami and I having barrels of fun! It was so nice to spend time with my sister and her husband, because we hardly ever get to see them! They have such a great family and we miss them so much!

Then on Saturday we just hung around the house because it had snowed on Friday. So we went outside and made snowmen! We finally got to see snow. But as beautiful as it was we were definitely glad that we could leave it and go back to our 70 degree weather!!
Here is Korbyn all bundled up in the cold weather we are not used to anymore! How precious is that!

I love the daddy and Korbyn pictures, they love each other so much!!
Here is Jordan with the final product! He was definitely the master snowman roller! But there was one thing he loved even more than building the snowman, and that was eating the snow! How cute he is!!

Korbyn {6 Months Old}!!!

Yay!! Korbyn is now 6 months old!!
He has grown and developed SO much in just a few months, it is so amazing to see him change! Just when we didn't think he could get any cuter, he continually does!
He is such a joy to have in our lives, and we are so grateful for him! Happy 6 months Korbyn!
These are some pictures we had taken for his 6 month birthday! He was so smiley and happy the whole time! It was definitely picture perfect!

And yep, he is just starting to sit up by himself! He does so good, but he is just a little unstable still!  And yes, he has to wear the bib for the endless amounts of drool! All well, he is still adorable!

Hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN, we did....!!

Korbyn was such a sweet little monkey for HaLLoWeeN!!
Justin has always called Korbyn his little monkey, so when he spotted this costume when we were out shopping one day, he had to have it! Justin was right, it was perfect for our little man! Look at that face! He is such a doll!
We took him to our ward's Trunk-Or-Treat but of course he fell asleep as soon as we pulled into the parking lot! Just as things were starting to wind down, he woke up, so he only debuted is costume there for a little bit. So then we headed over to our friend's house for a Halloween Party!
We had a lot of fun at the party, and I think Korbyn was glad to get home to take his costume off. He is such a good little sport though!

He is his daddy's little monkey!

Korbyn...almost 5 months old

So I wanted to post some newer pictures of Korbyn since, the last few posts he has been sleeping in his car seat! He is getting so much more alert, and playful, it is SO fun. I cannot believe how time flies...
But first...
Above is Korbyn at just 1 week old. And if you notice he is all stretched out on Justin's lap! I seriously look at this picture ALL the time and wonder where my little boy went, because he is huge now! He wouldn't fit like that anymore if you tried!! So cute, and wow he was skin and bones then!

Here is Korbyn all decked out in his BYU stuff, just ready for dad to get home to watch the game last week! He still has all that red hair! We aren't too sure exactly where it came from, but we do love it! And look at the cute chubby rolls on his legs!

Isn't this outfit adorable, his auntie Dani got for him! It even came with the cutest ball and mit, that is velcro, so Justin can even play ball with his son!
Here he is above having some quality tummy time. If you look closely, you can see how big of a drooler he is!! HEHE

He loves his little play chair. It helps him sit up so well and see everything too!
And last, but definitely not least here he is in his high chair eating rice cereal and veggies! He absolutely LOVES eating food. We started him on solids about 3 weeks ago. We had some difficulty with the green beans, but he has loved everything else. Which only consists of peas, bananas, and as of today pears. He loves it all!

Our New Car & The Japanese Gardens...

So about a week and a half ago, Justin and I decided to go to the Gardens in Fort Worth. And we are so glad that we did. It was just nice to get out of the house and take a walk through nature. It really makes you think of all the beautiful things that Heavenly Father created for us to enjoy. So I hope you enjoy looking at our pictures of the fun we had that day!
Here we are at the Botanical Gardens. It was like a conservatory room rainforest. It was SO beautiful!
There were so many exotic plants like this one. If you look close below, the red fruit was hanging from a cluster of bananas!
After the Botanical Gardens, we decided we would walk over to the Japanese Gardens, which were about a 15 minute walk. We are so glad that we did walk, because there was SO much to see on the way. Even though I got eaten alive by mosquitos! This is where the nature walk started... on this forest boardwalk below...

There was so much to see, especially little critters. Ones you wanted to see, and ones you didn't want to see! There were especially squirrels EVERYWHERE!!!
And these beautiful butterflies were every where and would land right on you. It was crazy!
Next was the Rose Gardens. Of course the roses weren't blooming in September like they do in May, but it was still pretty!
Then we finally made it to the Japanese Gardens! And if you look at the pictures below, you can see they were beautiful...

There were SO many fish in all the ponds, and they had fish food to buy so you could feed them. So of course Justin had to do it, and it was awesome. The fish were HUGE and they would stick their whole head out of the water and Justin would basically stick the food right into their mouths!
Gorgeous landscaping everywhere.... and what a sweet looking crane!

So this is our new car!! It was kind of tough for Justin to get a really good picture here in our parking lot, because of all the cars around it! But here she is! We LOVE it! At first we were just going to buy a piece of junk that would last us a year or two that Justin could drive to work. But everywhere we went all Justin was drawn to were SUVs! It is SO nice though, and it has ALL the amenities that we could ever dream of!
