Hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN, we did....!!

Korbyn was such a sweet little monkey for HaLLoWeeN!!
Justin has always called Korbyn his little monkey, so when he spotted this costume when we were out shopping one day, he had to have it! Justin was right, it was perfect for our little man! Look at that face! He is such a doll!
We took him to our ward's Trunk-Or-Treat but of course he fell asleep as soon as we pulled into the parking lot! Just as things were starting to wind down, he woke up, so he only debuted is costume there for a little bit. So then we headed over to our friend's house for a Halloween Party!
We had a lot of fun at the party, and I think Korbyn was glad to get home to take his costume off. He is such a good little sport though!

He is his daddy's little monkey!

Korbyn...almost 5 months old

So I wanted to post some newer pictures of Korbyn since, the last few posts he has been sleeping in his car seat! He is getting so much more alert, and playful, it is SO fun. I cannot believe how time flies...
But first...
Above is Korbyn at just 1 week old. And if you notice he is all stretched out on Justin's lap! I seriously look at this picture ALL the time and wonder where my little boy went, because he is huge now! He wouldn't fit like that anymore if you tried!! So cute, and wow he was skin and bones then!

Here is Korbyn all decked out in his BYU stuff, just ready for dad to get home to watch the game last week! He still has all that red hair! We aren't too sure exactly where it came from, but we do love it! And look at the cute chubby rolls on his legs!

Isn't this outfit adorable, his auntie Dani got for him! It even came with the cutest ball and mit, that is velcro, so Justin can even play ball with his son!
Here he is above having some quality tummy time. If you look closely, you can see how big of a drooler he is!! HEHE

He loves his little play chair. It helps him sit up so well and see everything too!
And last, but definitely not least here he is in his high chair eating rice cereal and veggies! He absolutely LOVES eating food. We started him on solids about 3 weeks ago. We had some difficulty with the green beans, but he has loved everything else. Which only consists of peas, bananas, and as of today pears. He loves it all!

Our New Car & The Japanese Gardens...

So about a week and a half ago, Justin and I decided to go to the Gardens in Fort Worth. And we are so glad that we did. It was just nice to get out of the house and take a walk through nature. It really makes you think of all the beautiful things that Heavenly Father created for us to enjoy. So I hope you enjoy looking at our pictures of the fun we had that day!
Here we are at the Botanical Gardens. It was like a conservatory room rainforest. It was SO beautiful!
There were so many exotic plants like this one. If you look close below, the red fruit was hanging from a cluster of bananas!
After the Botanical Gardens, we decided we would walk over to the Japanese Gardens, which were about a 15 minute walk. We are so glad that we did walk, because there was SO much to see on the way. Even though I got eaten alive by mosquitos! This is where the nature walk started... on this forest boardwalk below...

There was so much to see, especially little critters. Ones you wanted to see, and ones you didn't want to see! There were especially squirrels EVERYWHERE!!!
And these beautiful butterflies were every where and would land right on you. It was crazy!
Next was the Rose Gardens. Of course the roses weren't blooming in September like they do in May, but it was still pretty!
Then we finally made it to the Japanese Gardens! And if you look at the pictures below, you can see they were beautiful...

There were SO many fish in all the ponds, and they had fish food to buy so you could feed them. So of course Justin had to do it, and it was awesome. The fish were HUGE and they would stick their whole head out of the water and Justin would basically stick the food right into their mouths!
Gorgeous landscaping everywhere.... and what a sweet looking crane!

So this is our new car!! It was kind of tough for Justin to get a really good picture here in our parking lot, because of all the cars around it! But here she is! We LOVE it! At first we were just going to buy a piece of junk that would last us a year or two that Justin could drive to work. But everywhere we went all Justin was drawn to were SUVs! It is SO nice though, and it has ALL the amenities that we could ever dream of!

Another Ranger's Game!!

Well, Justin won....
After all the begging I agreed to go to a Ranger's game with him, and yes we took Korbyn with us. I must admit, it was pretty fun to be there. And there is a pretty good story too. After we parked the car we were walking towards the stadium. We didn't buy tickets in advance because we were just going to buy the cheap nose-bleed section ones, and as we were walking we saw a scalper. So Justin asked him how much, and the guy said $20 dollars each, but we didn't want to pay that much so we said no. Then he said 10 each, but we still didn't really want to pay that much. So we kept walking, and this guy that was walking by us, said here, I have a better deal... I don't want to have the hassle of trying to sell these, so you can have them, and he handed them to Justin. Of course, Justin was like, are you sure??? And the guy said, yah no prob, but you just have to give us your baby, hehe. He was totally joking so it was pretty funny! And the sweet thing was that if you look close in the pictures, we were on the 15th row, and that stadium was packed. Then we looked at the tickets to see how much they were, and they were $54 a piece!! What a nice guy! So that was really cool.
But whoever said it would be a good idea to take a 3 month old to a major league baseball game, was wrong!! We ended up having to leave after the 5th inning because I think it was like the LONGEST baseball game ever! It was a really close game, and so each inning took forever. We stayed for 2 hours, and it was still only the 5th inning!!! Korbyn was getting so tired, but it was SO loud, so there was no way he was going to fall asleep, so we just left.
But definitely the FUNNIEST part of the game was this REALLY cute little old lady who kept banging a drum. It was the coolest thing ever, because all the people seemed like it was totally normal, and everyone just clapped along with the drum! And we even took video of it, you have to watch it! It is HILARIOUS!!!

Here we all are below!! Korbyn was such a good little guy!!
He had soo much fun, but had NO idea what was going on!! HEHE

It is such an awesome looking stadium, and pictures do not do it justice!

Daddy and Korbyn at his FIRST major league baseball game! Lucky little guy!

Touring Dallas...

So when Justin's parents, Clyde and Ti'Ata, and Grandma Cherry were here, we went and saw some fun attractions here in Dallas. First we went to the all famous DEALEY PLAZA and the SIXTH FLOOR MUSEUM. If you don't know, Dealey Plaza is the place where President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed in 1963. And the museum is on the sixth floor of the School Book Depository, where the alleged Lee Harvey Oswald shot the infamous shots that killed him (some believe anyway!)
Before we moved here, Justin and I were educated on JFK's assassination by Ti'Ata and Grandma Cherry. We watched a few different movies on different theories that happened that day, and the famous Zabruder Film that caught it on tape. It was really fun to watch all the documentaries, and then be able to go there and stand where it all happened. Here are some of the pictures we took outside at Dealey Plaza...
So,this picture below is the best picture of Dealey Plaza I got. The road here is the one that his motorcade was driving on when he was shot.

The building behind Justin and Ti'Ata is the school book depository, where Oswald was.

And if you look closely in this picture below, there is an X on the road. That is where JFK was, when the first shot hit him.

And this next picture is the second X, where the fatal shot to the head took place.

This picture shows the famous Grassy Knoll.

Where Grandma Cherry is standing by the fence on the grassy knoll is where there is speculation there may have been a second shooter.

This is just a picture of some of the buildings in downtown Dallas, that I thought looked pretty cool...

After Dealey Plaza and the museum, we went to the Old City Park. It was really cool. It was an old historic village, which had a log cabin that was built in 1847 by the Miller family, and then next door was their mansion that they built in 1862. They were one of the first families to homestead in Dallas. The little village also had other houses, a little hotel, a doctor and dentist's office, a bank, a General Store, and a whole lot more! I feel bad though, because I didn't take any pictures while we were there! OOPS!

We then headed to Ripley's Believe it or not Museum. That is always fun to walk through and see all the strange things. And guess who we saw there... Justin's all time IDOL... TIGER WOODS!
And here is the proof...

We actually must have been there at just at the right time, because we also saw Jennifer Lopez and Johnny Depp. It was awesome!

Okay, well it was actually just a wax museum that we went to! But we did see a lot of stars!
And I got to be on the Oprah show and Justin was on Letterman!...

We did all that on a Saturday, and then the next Monday before they all left we had to go to the TEXAS ROADHOUSE. And yes it is better in Texas! Here are a few pics from that...

Here Korbyn is Sleeping in his car seat AGAIN!!! This is what he does whenever we go places, which is actually really nice, but not too good for family pictures! But he definitely is cute NO MATTER WHAT!!!! He is sleeping with his new favorite monkey blanket that his Mamoo gave him, it is adorable!

Then, last... but definitely not least, Justin and his dad, decided to venture out to Arlington to watch a Texas Ranger's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Here they are inside the stadium watching the game.
They bought the most nose-bleed section seats possible, and half way through the game they went to about the 3rd row, because there wasn't a whole lot of people there. Justin was in HEAVEN, seeing all those big name baseball stars up close.

Here is Clyde in front of the beautiful BallPark in Arlington. I think it is the coolest looking ballpark I have ever seen!

And here is more of the inside of the park...

Below is a close up picture of big time star, Josh Hamilton. Supposed to be one of THE BEST baseball players of all time!

We had a LOT of fun, as you can see, and now we are SO sad they are gone. Because now reality is setting in, and it's not a vacation anymore. BUMMER!
NOW STAY TUNED FOR PICTURES OF OUR APARTMENT, NEW DRIVER'S LICENSE AND TEXAS PLATES WE HAD TO GET! GOOD TIMES!!

THE BIG MOVE!!!!

Wow, sorry this has taken me SO long to post! It has been a week today that we have been here in North Richland Hills, Texas! It's exciting and scary all at once! We LOVE our apartment and the area. There is everything you can dream of and a whole lot more here to do!

Here are some pics of Justin, Clyde (Justin's dad), and Luke (our next door neighbor) moving our stuff into the truck! Sure is a lot of junk!!!
Justin decided he wanted to try and fit in down here in Texas, so for their long truck drive he grew out some handle bars. Aren't they sexy?HEHE
Justin and his dad are such great troopers. They drove 2 days to get here. The first day they drove 15 hours and the second day they drove 6 hours. Then when they finally got here they started unloading the truck at about 3 o'clock and didn't finish until we arrived at 7! Needless to say they were SO tired and ready for bed!
Well, this is how Justin and his dad drove down, with all of our stuff in the truck and towing our car...

But the women got to do it a little better, we FLEW! Thanks to our sweet husbands we had it a little easier, even though it was still rough with a little one!
This is our SUPER good traveler in his adorable outfit, sweats are so comfy to travel in! After we landed people kept saying, I can't believe there was a baby on here, we didn't hear a peep! He is so good!

Here we are on the plane!
This is Justin's mom, and grandma... So Korbyn Mimi and Mamoo. They were such a HUGE help! It is not easy to travel alone with a baby, so I am not looking forward for the trip home (Portland) for christmas without Justin!

And here we are FINALLY in Dallas leaving the airport!
Korbyn is shown below ASLEEP, he always misses all the fun! This time he missed the fun of trying to find our apartment and our husbands in this HUGE city!
He sure is pooped! How cute!

And at last!!! Here we are in the apartment!

Grandma just about got lost in the kitchen with all that stuff!!

Finally back together again, all safe and sound thank goodness.

It was kind of a shocker as we walked in our apartment. It just didn't feel real, but I had to make myself remember that this is where home is now. It was really a strange feeling!
Now we are getting to know things better, and feel like we are really going to like it here, although it is going to be tough trying to make friends and feel like we belong. There is some good southern hospitality here that makes you feel like everyone is so nice, it is awesome!
We miss you all and hope that you can come see us soon, we are finding more and more to do here, and it would be a fun trip for ya'll!
STAY TUNED FOR MORE OF OUR SIGHT SEEING WE DID WITH JUSTIN'S FAMILY! COMING SOON TO A BLOG NEAR YOU!!!!
