We had so much fun, and it's still not over! We are having another party for him tomorrow so I will post lots of pictures soon, I promise!

Ugh! I have been such a blogging slacker since we got back in Utah! I will be better I promise!

Easter Weekend

We had SO much fun Easter weekend! Justin decided to take Friday and Monday off, so we could have lots of family time. It was great!
So on Friday we decided to take Korbyn to the Zoo for the first time. We figured we better check out the Fort Worth Zoo because it is like in the top 5 of best Zoos. It was a really nice zoo, and a lot of fun too!

Korbyn liked watching the other kids more than he cared about what the animals were doing. Although he was pretty intrigued with the monkeys! Then we went to Red Robin for dinner. Yummy!
Saturday we kind of lounged around. Justin had to do a bunch of stuff with the youth, so Korbyn and I hung out.
Then on Sunday, we woke up and the Easter Bunny came for Korbyn!
Here is his Easter basket, filled with toys and goodies!
Holidays are SO much more fun when you have a child to share it with! We did an Easter Egg Hunt for him and he loved getting the eggs!

Here he is all ready for church in his NEW Easter outfit his Grandma Kathie sent him. Isn't it just adorable? I love him in blue!

Then on Monday we went to the pond to feed the ducks

Korbyn really loved watching the ducks go for the bread!
All in all we had a really great weekend. It was awesome that Justin could be home with Korbyn and I and do some fun things together!

New Blog

So I created a new blog for all of you who are wondering. It is called All Things Chic and Crafty. I decided that as a stay at home mom, I needed more than just this blog that was about my family. I need something that is JUST about me and what I like. So I did just that. I have been doing a lot of craft projects since staying home with my sweet little one so I want to show them off and teach others what I have learned. But I also want to use it for a place to put ALL my other thoughts, like red carpet do's and don'ts, my favorite make-up and hair tips, and so much more. I am really excited about this, because I feel like I am finally going to let all the modge podge of creative ideas in my crazy head out. Hopefully there will be at least a couple people that will appreciate it, but I guess that I am mostly doing it for myself. Being a mom can get hard and boring sometimes {especially while I am here in Texas}, so this is how I am going to make it fun, and do something just for me.
We all need to take time out of our crazy schedules, and do something just for ourselves. I've definitely learned that lately!
So if you're bored and you want to look at something new... go ahead click here and see what it's all about. It is still new, so I only have 2 posts, so don't expect anything exciting... YET! Soon enough, there will be plenty of fun things to look at!

Korbyn is 10 Months Old...

So I can't believe this is real.... hehe. Our little newborn has gotten so big, in what seems to have been overnight! We went to the doctor on Monday and here are his stats...
Weight... 21 lbs.   {which surprisingly is only in the 50th percentile! Can you just imagine the                                         100th? And I thought I had a chunky one!!! HEHE}
Height... 29 in.   {that is the 60th percentile, you would think with his short parents he would                                         only be in like the 10th! So that is pretty good!}
HC... 45.2   {the 45th percentile, I think that is a big noggin!}

So here are some cute naked baby pictures. I think there is nothing better than a little baby with just a diaper on! Then you get to see all the rolls and cute chub!

This is his laughing smile :) And wow, that lighting makes him really look like a carrot top. It is red, but I don't think it is quit that red!!

And his shy little nod...

And I'm not too sure what this one is... but I am almost positive he was trying to come up with a plan to steal the camera from me the whole time!

See there he is trying to reach for it! Sneaky little guy, but what a cute cheeser! I just can't get enough of it. I heard once that for a mother, hearing your child laugh does the same chemical something to your brain that drugs do. So you are seriously addicted to the special little people in your life. I believe that is SO true, and I am definitely hooked!

Justin's Bday, Parents in town and more...

Justin's birthday was SO much fun. Well the whole weekend was actually. Justin's birthday is on Valentine's day, and since it was also President's day weekend his parents and grandma came into town to celebrate!
I was so excited because Justin only asks for practical, boring things for his birthday and Christmas, so I was anxious to give him something I knew he wanted bad, but didn't want to ask for since he is sooo practical.
So we picked his parents up on Thursday from the airport, and Thursday night, Justin and Clyde went to the Mavericks VS. The Celtics game. Justin was in heaven, because first they went to Red Lobster and he doesn't get seafood often when I am around!

The above picture is the outside courtyard of the American Airlines arena.

And this is the inside.... They had really good seats if you couldn't tell (wink, wink :)

So while the guys were out on the town, the women had to go and do some shopping at the great mall I have here just a few minutes away, it was SO nice to have some family to do some serious shopping with for the weekend! Just like we used to!
Then Friday we went to the Dallas Temple and did sealings while Grandma Cherry watched Korbyn for us! That was so nice of her to do that, it's sad to say, but that was our first time going to the temple since we moved here...

Thanks again Grandma!!
We also went to a great outlet mall, and more shopping is always fun!
Then Saturday morning we were talking on iChat with Dani and Trek in Germany, and we decided it would be fun to open Justin's presents while we were talking to them, so he pulled up a chair and started opening! These are pictures of what Justin's parents and I got him for his birthday!
Here he is opening the second box I wrapped it in, the first one was about 4x that big. I always love to fool him, and it even worked this time, he had NO idea he was getting this...

He was really excited, and he LOVES it! Those iPod touches are really cool, and even though it isn't the iPhone yet, he still loves being able to have the internet at his fingertips!

For Justin's birthday/ Valentine's dinner Justin decided he wanted Outback.  It was fun to go out to dinner like old times with everyone! We really miss being around family so it was so nice to have them here.

Overall it was a great weekend and Korbyn LOVED having SO much attention from his Mimi, Babba, and Mamoo! We are so grateful that they were able to come!

*WARNING*... Camera+Water=Disaster

So about 2 weeks ago, I had decided to give Korbyn a bath, just like any other normal day...
He was being so cute, so I decided to grab my camera and take some snap shots, and I also took a video... Here are some of the cute pictures...

And about a minute after this picture was taken, what felt  like a nightmare, happened next...
Korbyn decided he wanted to grab for his rubber ducky and he did a face plant right into the tub.  As a mother, you don't think of anything else, but saving your child in a moment like that. So that is what I did. Only after I went to reach for my sweet baby in the water, I realized that I wasn't alone... my camera tried to jump in and save him too. I was SO glad my Korbyn was okay, but in the same instance I was dying, because my awesome camera, which we only got the day before Korbyn was born, was dead. A mere 8 months old.  As I pulled it out of the water, I watched the screen melt away, and my dreams of taking cute pictures of Korbyn were over. I was devastated. You may think, "why, it is merely an object," but I was thinking, "a very expensive object, that I just ruined!"
The happy ending...
I found out, as I was looking at the receipt that we bought a warranty! So I took it in to Best Buy to have them look at it. Then last Sunday they called us to let us know that we could come and pick up a new camera! Thank goodness Justin realized he was married to me and he needed all the insurance he could get his hands on! I have a pretty good history at breaking things, especially cameras. (Like when we went to Europe... half way through our trip, I broke our camera!) YIKES!
Anyway, it was cool, because I actually got a credit for more than we paid for our camera last year. And when we were looking we contemplated between getting a Cannon or a Nikon. Well we picked the Cannon, but when I went in the other day, I got an upgrade Nikon Coolpix! I am excited to start using it! Stay tuned, because there will be many pictures to follow!

Our Talkin' Baby...

Korbyn has decided he loves his lungs. Especially in church!
But the other day he decided that all he wanted was daddy and he was sure to tell me this...
He is our little bundle of joy! And I hope you enjoyed watching him as much as we enjoy having him in our lives. He brings a big smile to our faces everyday with his crazy antics!

Trip to Portland!

Korbyn and I took a little trip out to Portland from Dec. 16- Dec. 23. It was a blast! While we were there, the Portland area had just about the worst snow storm ever! But being snowed in the entire time, didn't turn out so bad! We were able to just hang out, play games, and not have to worry about going a million places. It was a really relaxing trip. Besides the plane rides. Something about flying by yourself with a 7 month old, teething baby, that is like fingernails on a chalkboard!
Here we made Korbyn my sweet little present! Isn't he just the cutest. Who wouldn't want that under their tree on Christmas morning!

And even better, are these two adorable presents, Korbyn and cousin, Tierzah!

Korbyn LOVED playing with his cousins! And his adorable cousin, Ariella, just couldn't get enough of him either! They had so much fun together!
Here is Korbyn's other cousin, Asa, he is really good at making Korbyn laugh!

Here is Korbyn and I with Elena and Alex. More cousins that we love, and are SO glad that we got to see!

Here is the snow, when I first got there. We thought this was pretty bad. Which for Oregon it was! My brother-in-law, Ben had to come to the airport to get us in his four-wheel drive with studded snow tires! Crazy that it actually just got worse!
I had to go out and get my few minutes in the snow! Korbyn needed to stay inside where it was warm, because he got a cold while we were there. Bummer!

Here is Grandpa, playing in the snow with the grandkids! They had so much fun!

It was pretty cool, because about the third day I was there, we had about 6 inches of snow, then we had freezing rain. So when you went to step on the snow it just broke up like this. It was so fun to walk over. Crazy!
And after the 6 inches and freezing rain.... came more snow! This is my sister, Alisa, and her husband, Ben. They were snowboarding down the street!

So after that storm was over, this is all the snow we had! Isn't it just a beautiful winter wonderland? Those trees looked so amazing with all that snow on there!
Here is my brother-in-law, Jose and if you look really close at the snow on the van, you can see the snow, then the thick layer of ice, and then the snow on top of that! Pretty cool!

And last, but not least, me posing with my two sisters that live in Oregon. Cassandra on the left. and Alisa by me! I had so much fun hanging out with them, and I thank them for all that they did for Korbyn and I while we were there! You are awesome sisters, and I wouldn't trade you for the world!
So in a nutshell, it was a blast, but flying alone with Korbyn for 41/2 hours, and missing Justin tons does not make me want to go anywhere alone anytime soon!!!

A Little Behind on Thanksgiving...

Now that it is Christmas Eve, I decided that I needed to blog about Thanksgiving. So here goes!

We were SO lucky to be able to fly to Denver for a few short days to visit my sister and her family, and my mom and dad were there too! It was so much fun. And for Thanksgiving Dinner we went to my cousin, Joel's house. It was so delicious!!
This is the bunch eating the yummy food!!

Grandma and Korbyn at the festivities! Grandma was so excited to see and hold Korbyn after almost 4 months of not seeing him!

Here is Cami and Jordan, my sister and nephew making a craft after dinner.
The craft was adorable. Who knew an apple, some toothpicks, raisins, and a green olive would make such cute turkeys! Nice job Jordan!
Then on Friday instead of dealing with the crazy stores, the four of us, Cami {my sister}, Jake {my bro-in-law}, Justin and I decided to go on a double date, while the wonderful grandparents babysat! It was awesome because we haven't had a babysitter since we moved to Texas! Sad, but true!
It was SO fun! We went mini golfing in the dark, so everything was lit up with black lights! The pic above is Justin and Jake posing!

And here is Cami and I having barrels of fun! It was so nice to spend time with my sister and her husband, because we hardly ever get to see them! They have such a great family and we miss them so much!

Then on Saturday we just hung around the house because it had snowed on Friday. So we went outside and made snowmen! We finally got to see snow. But as beautiful as it was we were definitely glad that we could leave it and go back to our 70 degree weather!!
Here is Korbyn all bundled up in the cold weather we are not used to anymore! How precious is that!

I love the daddy and Korbyn pictures, they love each other so much!!
Here is Jordan with the final product! He was definitely the master snowman roller! But there was one thing he loved even more than building the snowman, and that was eating the snow! How cute he is!!

Korbyn {6 Months Old}!!!

Yay!! Korbyn is now 6 months old!!
He has grown and developed SO much in just a few months, it is so amazing to see him change! Just when we didn't think he could get any cuter, he continually does!
He is such a joy to have in our lives, and we are so grateful for him! Happy 6 months Korbyn!
These are some pictures we had taken for his 6 month birthday! He was so smiley and happy the whole time! It was definitely picture perfect!

And yep, he is just starting to sit up by himself! He does so good, but he is just a little unstable still!  And yes, he has to wear the bib for the endless amounts of drool! All well, he is still adorable!
